ERADICATING THE 80/20 RULE:
Fulfilling the Great Commission
By Nancy Benavides
Eradicating the 80/20 Rule is not just another book full of theories on how to get more volunteers. no one needs another book like that. Pastors and leaders at all levels need something practical that works.
Eradicating the 80/20 Rule is that handbook. It’s a guide to shift your mindset in how to activate volunteers. Not the same old ideas that really don’t produce results.
Nancy Benavides learned this mindset from her personal experiences as an executive at McDonalds corporation as well as boots on the ground leading volunteers at the local church level.
In Eradicating the 80/20 Rule you will discover:
- How to cultivate hunger in your volunteers to fulfill the great commission
- How to develop the potential of the people in your church
- How to easily plug people into works of service accordingly to their gifting
- Strategies to engage volunteers so they are excited about the vision
- How to release responsibility so you’re free to do what God has called you to do
This handbook gives updated advice on how to transform your congregation or community from static attenders to full-blown participants in God’s plan for your city.
Nancy’s book is a welcome breath of fresh air, bringing forth wisdom from the place of understanding and the process to address the need of each member of the body being activated in God’s dreams for their lives.
The principles, guidelines, and practical applications contained in this book will help any congregation to achieve a much higher percentage of involvement than is traditionally assumed to be possible.
Nancy’s understanding of personalities and leadership styles, coupled with revelatory biblical understanding gives insight into probelm areas in ministry. Using the tools she has given in the book will help fulfill the call of making disciples.
Eradicating the 80/20 Rule in Your Ministry
We all know the principle that says most of the work in ministry is done by a handful of the people — it doesn’t have to be that way!
Imagine having over 90% of your members engaged in your ministry doing the works of service they were created to enjoy.
If we remove the natural barriers that are preventing the 80% from stepping up and volunteering they will join the 20% that readily volunteer. Additionally, through involvement, spiritual gifts become easier to identify.
This is not a theory–this is a process that any ministry can adapt to their specific ministries purposes. It is time tested and proven to achieve results in moving people into exercising their spiritual gifts.
Identifying Spiritual Gifts is Key...
The barrier preventing many people from fully engaging is not knowing what their spiritual gifts are and how they fit into the ministry.
“It is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.” ~Philippians 2:13 NIV
God gives us the desire to use the gifts He has placed in us—therefore desire is the place to start when identifying spiritual gifts.
Spiritual gifts grow and develop. Paul’s advice to Timothy is applicable to each of us:
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God…” II Timothy 1:6 NIV
It is time to engage all your member in developing their spiritual gifts!
